Space Warehouse (HK) for Prada Goodies!
22 03 2010
I know how hard it is to find Space Warehouse (HK) for some Prada lovin’. I hope this blog post will help you find your way there easily with a step-by-step guide.
Prior to leaving for Hong Kong, I have already done my research, browsed a bit and found out about a Prada outlet store called Space Warehouse in Ap Lei Chau, Hong Kong. I scoured the net for more information on how to get there and everything was rather iffy. I ended up spending 1 hour walking around Admiralty to find the bus that would take me there, and then ended up in Central also looking for the illusive bus.
So, I’m posting this to help all fellow Prada lovers find the place with as little hassle as possible.
You asked if it’s worth the trouble? The answer is Yes. This would be the best factory outlet store you can possibly visit in HK. Most items are about 45% off. I was only interested in Prada (bags, shoes, clothes, wallets, purses, etc) although there are Miu Miu stuff as well.
Getting There
1) Take the MTR to the Central MTR station.
2) Walk to the bus terminus at the basement of IFC (International Finance Centre) Mall. Kinda basement. The lower part of the building.
3) Take bus m590 to Ap Lei Chau. Sit on the right side of the bus.
4) It’s about almost 30 mins ride if I remember correctly. Once you cross the bridge, keep an eye out for the sign on the left side of the road that says South Horizon. Somewhere along Yi Nam street. Once you see it, ring the bell. If you miss it, it’s ok.
5) If you miss the first stop, look right. Soon, you will see the shop SPACE WAREHOUSE next to a yellow building which is the Marina Square East Market. There will be a 7-11 convenience store nearby as well. Now, ring the bell. The bus still go around the corner and stop a short distance away to the left. Get down, cross the street, and just simply walk back to Space Warehouse.

Many of the outlet shops open from 10am until 10pm daily. However, some outlets such as the the Kate Spade and Coach open from 11.30am. You could easily spend two to three hours in this outlet mall. For die-hard factory outlet shoppers, be prepared to spend half a day in order to check out each store to sieve out the good deals. The discount generally starts from 30% and all the off-season items could be going for more than 50% discount.
Where I Shopped at Citygate
The favorite store for me was the Samsonite outlet. They have generous discount of 30% on some nice looking business backpacks and luggage bags. The next store I like was Polo Ralph Lauren. They have a sizable store and some of the long sleeved shirts are on 50% discount! I also bought quite a number of baby kid’s tops for my twin nephew and niece. They are on 50% discount as well!
How to Get to Gitygate Outlets Hong Kong
Although Citygate is located far away Kowloon , it is easily accessible via the MTR. We stayed at the Imperial Hotel near the Tsim Sha Tsui Station(尖沙咀) in Kowloon . To travel to Citygate, we took the MTR at Tsim Sha Tsui(尖沙咀) to Lai King(茘景) on the Tsuen Wan Line(荃湾线). At Lai King(茘景), we change to the Tung Chung Line(东涌线) and travelled 3 stops to Tung Chung(东涌). It is 5 minutes walk from Tung Chung MTR Station.
Citygate Food Republic
If you are tired from all the walking and shopping, there are several restaurants to take a rest and have a meal. Or you could stop at the MacDonald’s on the 2nd floor for a quick snack. For us, we prefer to visit the familiar Food Republic food court.
Besides branded outlet shops and restaurant, you can also shop for grocery at the basement supermarket. It was interesting to find several brands that are not available in our supermarket back home – Singapore.
